Keyboard Shortcuts
Main Window
The following keyboard shortcuts are available in main window:
- CTRL + S
Saves database immediately. You might use this if you turn off automatic saving after operations (see Options, "Custom" tab).
- F1
Opens online help.
- ALT + 1
Opens Music Commander window.
- ALT + 2
Opens Playlists window.
- ALT + 3
Opens Music Board (2D) window.
- ALT + 4
Opens Music Sphere (3D) window.
- ALT + 5 or ALT + L or CTRL + L
Opens Lyrics window.
- ALT + 6
Opens Artwork window.
- ALT + O or CTRL + O
Opens Options window.
- ALT + D or CTRL + D
Opens Database window.
- DEL
If quick access panel is visible and something is selected, object(s) will be deleted.
- CTRL + A
If quick access panel is visible, all objects will be selected.
- CTRL + C
Copies current track or radio title to clipboard. You might use this if you hear some song you like in internet radio, to remember (copy) the title.
- ENTER
If quick access panel is visible and exactly one object is selected, playback of that object starts. It might be track (or subtrack), radio, playlist, emotion or attribute. If panel is not visible, ENTER performs play or pause command.
- F3 or F4 or SHIFT + F4
If quick access panel is visible and exactly one object is selected, object is edited (specific window is opened). If track is selected and SHIFT + F4 is pressed, "Subtracks Information" window is displayed.
- Left or right arrow, SHIFT combination
If playback is active, position seeks to -/+ 5 seconds. If SHIFT is pressed, position seeks to -/+ 30 seconds.
- Up or down arrow
Increases or decreases main volume. Note that there are two other volumes (fade-effect volume in subtracks playback [if set] and good-night timer volume [if turned on]).
- Numpad + or -
Increases or decreases main volume slowly (1 pixel on volume slider).
- CTRL + 0
Sets tabs, headers and rows heights to their default values.
- ALT + A
Opens Attributes window.
- ALT + E
Opens Emotions window.
- ALT + G
Opens Generators window.
- ALT + T
Opens Good Night and Sleep Well Timer window.
- CTRL + J
Opens Jump to Time window.
- \ (backslash)
Previous folder
- Y or Z
Previous track
- X
Play
- C
Pause
- V
Stop
- B
Next track
- N
Next folder
- SPACE
Play or pause
- J
Opens Music Commander and activates search field.
- CTRL + ALT + 1 ... CTRL + ALT + 9
Executes custom command (see Options, "Keys" tab).
- CTRL + M
Changes mode of main window.
- ALT + F4
Saves database and closes Totalmp.
Music Commander
The following keyboard shortcuts are available in Music Commander:
- CTRL + S
Saves database immediately. You might use this if you turn off automatic saving after operations (see Options, "Custom" tab).
- F1
Opens online help.
- ALT + O or CTRL + O
Opens Options window.
- ALT + D or CTRL + D
Opens Database window.
- ALT + L or CTRL + L
Opens Lyrics window.
- CTRL + J
Opens Jump to Time window.
- Left or right arrow, SHIFT combination
If playback is active, position seeks to -/+ 5 seconds. If SHIFT is pressed, position seeks to -/+ 30 seconds. On folder it tries to collapse / expand the folder and then moves to another object.
- Up or down arrow
Moves selection up / down.
- TAB
Switches from tab to content and then between left and right contents.
- CTRL + TAB
Changes between tabs.
- SPACE
Expands / collapses folder.
- Page up, page down
Jumps one page up / down.
- Home, end
Selects first / last object.
- CTRL + Home, end
Selects first / last object.
- SHIFT + Page up, page down
Adds one page of objects to selection.
- SHIFT + Home, end
Adds all above / below objects to selection.
- SHIFT + Up, down arrow
Adds objects to selection.
- CTRL + A
Selects all objects.
- CTRL + N
Creates new folder.
- F2
Edits selected object(s).
- F5
Copies selected object(s).
- F6
Renames selected object.
- F7
Creates new folder.
- F8 or Del
Deletes selected object(s).
- ALT + 3 or F3 or F4 or SHIFT + F4
Edits selected object(s). SHIFT + F4 opens subtracks information when track was selected.
- CTRL + 1 ... CTRL + 5
Changes between multiple views.
- CTRL + W or CTRL + F4 or ESC
Closes current tab. Note: database, tree and radio tabs cannot be closed.
- APPS (Context menu key)
Opens context menu
- ALT + F1 or ALT + F2
Allows you to select another tab within tab set.
- CTRL + F or J
Activates search field.
- ALT + A
Opens Attributes window.
- ALT + E
Opens Emotions window.
- ALT + G
Opens Generators window.
- ALT + T
Opens Timer (Good Night and Sleep Well) window.

Changes focus from search field to content.
- ENTER
Runs search.
- ESC
Changes focus from search field to content.
- CTRL + 1 ... CTRL + 5
Changes between multiple views.
- CTRL + TAB
Selects next tab.
- CTRL + W or CTRL + F4
Closes current tab.

Note: some applications might block (global override) some keyboard shortcuts (e.g. ALT, SHIFT combinations).
